Morning Walk - The National Museum of Australia

Every time I get up early for a sunrise shoot I get up well before light breaks and travel to my chosen photo shoot site. I often wonder how crazy I am getting up so early, sometimes not knowing what to expect when I get there because I'm not familiar to the area. Most often than not I end up not regretting it! I know a few people who own nice camera's but just wouldn't get up early or wait out for a nice sunset. That’s a shame, as the best light only occurs around this time!

Anyway this photo was taken at the National Museum of Australia - It’s a really interesting structure from outside. Unfortunately I never got the chance to go inside this visit. That morning there were some wonderful purples in the sky as light broke behind the building. Later during processing I used the Lucis Art filter in Photoshop to enhance line contrast and highlight the nice texture in the concrete.

Camera settings for this shot can be found on flickr here.
