Ancient Battery Ruins

I really love textured photos, they can really bring a whole different feel to an otherwise boring image! During a recent trip to New Zealand this year, I was lucky enough to meet Trey Ratcliff whose Texture's Tutorial I recently bought online. If you're really into HDR photography and looking to add another great technique to your arsenal of tricks then this is it. The basic package alone is value for money and is very easy to follow.

About 5 minutes from our hotel in Karangahake, were these old battery ruins. These ruins really called for some nice texture treatment to give the scene an ancient feeling. This was a 3 Exposure HDR -/+2. Camera settings for this shot can be found on flickr here.
