Street Photography Shoot in St Kilda

Photo 1: Street Photography: Graffitied Alleyway

This little graffitied alleyway caught my eye on a recent afternoon stroll down one of St Kilda's more trendy cafe districts. Awhile ago I discovered some truly inspirational street photography from Japan based photographer Alfie Goodrich and so I decided to use my next oppurtunity to attempt some street photography of my own!

The original image didn't really stand out that much. I did initially process the image as a single HDR image. After that I ran it through Phototools to boost colour and then convert it into Black & White. The result was an image I think was much stronger than the original.

Photo 2: Acland Street Cafe

Here is another attempt at street photography. I aimed to caputre the feeling and vibe of the trendy cafes and those who frequent them. Again, I processed the image as a single HDR photo then boosted the colour slightly before converting to Black & White.
